Vancouver is filled with drug addicts

by Adam on Dec.31, 2008, under Miscellaneous Wondering

Through a Blue Lens is a documentary following around the popo in Vancouver’s lower east side. What a frightening place to live!

This video is a great way to show how freaking evil hard drugs are. It’s from 1999, but still relevant today.

Props to Kacheena for showing this to me.

The documentary leaves out a lot of issues since it only concentrates on how awful addicts’ lives are. There’s no discussions around how to help addicts beyond telling them to go to a methadone clinic. The cops come across as caring in some scenes and downright patronizing in others.

Torontoist is dead :( Long live Torontoist :)

by Adam on Dec.13, 2008, under Miscellaneous Wondering

This is not a good thing. It’s a really solid site with good writers and I really hope that it will live on in some form or another. It very well could, thanks to this quickly created facebook group to revive the blog.

I’m an American Warrior

by Adam on Dec.07, 2008, under Miscellaneous Wondering

They call me loyalty. They call me propaganda!

My favourite lyric from this amazing freedom loving ballad:

“Don’t tell me who’s wrong and who’s right when liberties start slipping away.”

Ignorance is bliss.

The National Guard in the United Liberty States of Freedom America is playing this video before movies in select freedom cinemas near you!
